Introducing COVID-19 Health Assist
We know a little bit of simple can go a long way right now.
That’s why, as part of the Medibank family, we’re extending COVID-19 Health Assist to our members until further notice at no extra cost. Built by our team of clinicians and public health professionals, COVID-19 Health Assist offers a range of programs to support members affected by the coronavirus.
Eligible ahm members with hospital cover* can access personalised health advice and support from dedicated healthcare professionals. Waiting periods apply.
We’ll also refer you to a health care professional if you require further medical treatment. If you are referred to any services outside of this program, you may incur out of pocket costs.
So, we have a range of personalised support options available, from home check-in services that help monitor symptoms to mental health support as you take care of a sick family member, we’ll be there to try and make these times a little bit simpler for you.
Special Pandemic Support
Personalised health advice over the phone if you need care due to COVID-19. This includes a range of services to help you look after your mental health and physical wellbeing. From providing advice about what to expect if you have an upcoming hospital admission, to dealing with the stress of COVID-19. Some members may receive a call from our team of clinicians and public health professionals to check in and see how you’re going.
COVID-19 Monitoring at Home
If you’ve been diagnosed with COVID-19, we’ll help you look after your health and wellbeing from home if your doctor says it’s safe to do so. This includes daily check-ins and monitoring by a Medibank nurse over the phone.
COVID-19 Recovery at Home
A comprehensive rehabilitation program, offering physical and mental health support, to help you get back to enjoying the things you like. So, if you’ve just been discharged from hospital for COVID-19 ask your doctor if doing rehab at home is right for you.^
