Can I see any dentist, physio etc?
The dentists, optometrists, chiropractors, physiotherapists or other professionals who provide allied health services are referred to as providers.
We have no 'network' of providers that our members need to use to make the most of their cover. That means you can see anyone as long as they’re recognised by us.
So you don’t have to go to the physio across town – you can go where it suits you.

What are annual limits?
Most extras services are subject to annual limits. This is the maximum amount of benefit payable towards that service in each financial year. In some cases, such as orthodontics, a lifetime limit will apply. It's good to check over the information about annual limits and other limits when choosing your extras cover.
Some of our hospital and extras packaged covers have a ‘flexi limit’. That means you’ll get an amount to use as you see fit on included extras each financial year. You also get a separate optical limit.

What are waiting periods?
It's important to know that waiting periods apply. A waiting period is a set amount of time you must wait before we can help with the cost of items and services that are included under your cover. We can’t help out with any items, treatments or services you receive during a waiting period. It's good to check over the information about waiting periods when choosing your extras cover.
